I successfully finished my studies by obtaining my diploma at the University of Applied Sciences in Hanover, Germany, Department of Information Science. My specialties include development and maintenance of controlled vocabularies (e.g. thesauri), indexing, and content analysis. Between 1991 and 2002 I mainly worked in-house as thesaurus developer, indexer, and information architect in several long-term projects for various institutions and companies (including IT business). I considerably improved my editorial skills by finishing a DTP course. Starting in the early 1990s, I worked in editorial collaboration for various journal and academic projects; in 2001 and 2002 I also worked as online editor. Indexetera is in business since 2003. I am currently the coordinator of the German Network of Indexers.
